Grant Enfinger -- Kansas Speedway Preview

Chatting with Grant Enfinger...

You have a pair of wins this year, but only one top-10 in the other six races. What is it going to take to stand-out as the championship favorite?

“I don’t think we necessarily have to change the world, but I think we need to combine some of the stuff we’ve done this year, that’s been successful, to some of the stuff we did last year, that was very consistent. I think we just need to get back to our style of racing. There have been things that have happened over the last month that have been un-characteristic, as far as how the races have played out, but there have been some mistakes made on our end as well. At this point, I’m not worried about it, but there are some issues we need to clean up. Man, it’s been two weeks now and I’m still kicking myself for speeding on pit road at Pocono. We’ve had one or two issues that were uncharacteristic for us, but there have also been some things out of our control. I guess that’s just part of racing, especially under these circumstances that we’re in. It’s definitely changed how we go into a weekend, without practice and all, so I feel like for the most part we’ve done a good job with that, but we haven’t mastered the entire package yet under these circumstances.”
