News and Notes:
Home Track Hero... A native of Fairhope, Alabama, Grant Enfinger looks to add a second win at his home track, and his third career NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series victory, to his resume in his own backyard in Saturday’s Sugarlands Shine 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. Enfinger, who has 11 starts at the track across both the ARCA Menards Series (six) and Gander Truck Series (five), has accumulated one win (2016, Gander Trucks), one pole (2014, ARCA), three top-five and five top-10 finishes, leading 182 laps in both series.
Chassis Chatter... The No. 98 ThorSport Racing team will unload chassis No. 60 for Saturday’s 14th annual Sugarlands Shine 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. This is the same chassis Enfinger drove to a second-place finish at Daytona International Speedway earlier this season.
Ford Fact… Ford powered F-150's have found victory lane 99 times since 1995 in the Gander Truck Series, including one win at Talladega Superspeedway with Mark Martin in 2006.
Take Me Back – Las Vegas… The ThorSport Racing driver started eighth, working his way up to the third position before a engine failure would sideline the No. 98 for the remainder of the event, relegating Enfinger to a 31st-place finish in the World of Westgate 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The unfortunate circumstance would also eliminate the ThorSport Racing driver and the No. 98 team from advancing to the Round of 6 in the Gander Trucks Playoffs.
Truck Series Stats… Enfinger has 79 career Gander Trucks starts to his credit. His success includes five poles and 564 laps led en route to two wins, 26 top-five and 49 top-10 finishes.
Catch Grant at Talladega Superspeedway… On Friday, Oct. 11, Enfinger will participate in a Q&A in the new Talladega Garage Experience, in the infield at Talladega Superspeedway, at 10:10 a.m. CT and will also join his ThorSport Racing teammates, Johnny Sauter and Ben Rhodes, at the Ford Stage, in the Fan Zone, at 1 p.m. CT for an autograph session. On Sunday, Oct. 13, Enfinger will participate in a Q&A at the Ford Stage, in the Fan Zone, at 10 a.m. CT.

On Talladega Superspeedway…
“Talladega is obviously a home-track for me, with me being from Alabama. This place (Talladega Superspeedway) is kinda what got the fire burning for me. As a kid, my dad and I would come up here every year. My family would get a charter bus and get 30-40 good ol’ southern guys from Alabama, and we’d ride up here for every race. That’s what started the fire for me, just as a race fan. To be able to come full circle, to be able to come back here and compete and hopefully go for another checkered flag this weekend, would be a dream come true for me. God has blessed us with a great opportunity and a great season with ThorSport Racing. We’ve had really good, really fast F-150’s and some good stuff going for us. Talladega is its own animal. We’ve gotta stay out of trouble, stay up front and hopefully contend for the win in our Champion Power Equipment Ford F-150."
On the remainder of 2019…
“It's unfortunate that we aren't racing for a championship now as we head into Talladega. This does however free us up from a strategy stand point, to be more aggressive. I know all the guys on this No. 98 team and I want to finish the season out strong and get in the win column.”
